We are supported by and partner with organizations and individuals from around the world to help foster sustainability and environmental stewardship. Through financial and in-kind contributions, sponsorships, program support, knowledge-sharing, on-the-ground stewardship projects, program membership, and assistance in outreach and education these organizations help us make a difference. Below are a few examples of the types of support we receive from organizations and the ways we are partnering with others.

FedEx
Audubon International is working with FedEx and The First Tee Program to build environmental curriculum into golf training programs and highlight environmental stewardship projects near the FedExCup tournament location with the voluntary assistance of FedEx team members. New York State Hospitality & Tourism Association

Crosland, LLC
As a first venture with Audubon International’s Gold Signature Program, Crosland registered a project called Whitewater, a Planned Mixed Use Community attached to the US National Whitewater Training Center near Charlotte, NC. Marriott Corporation
Besides serving on Audubon International’s Golf Advisory Council, Marriott Golf has committed to have 100% of their golf courses designated as Certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuaries. The Walt Disney Company
Walt Disney World Resort has demonstrated their commitment to environmental excellence by having all of their golf courses designated as a "Certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary" through the Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary Program for Golf Courses. Crescent Resources
Audubon International first partnered with Crescent Resources on The Sanctuary, a Gold Signature project in Charlotte, NC, and then on the Black Forest project in Marion, NC. Griffin Industries
Starting over ten years ago, Griffin Industries’ facilities have been working through the Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary Program to take better care of the natural environment in and around their facilities. To date 19 of their 25 properties have been certified in the program. To learn more about this program, click here.
Bonterra Wines
In 2008, Bonterra Wines sponsored one-hundred new memberships in the Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary Program for Golf Courses. Thanks to Bonterra Wines, over 25,000 acres of landscape are now seeing environmental improvements being made through this program. Good Housekeeping Magazine
Audubon International participated with other nonprofit, business, and university experts to assist in the creation of the Good Housekeeping Green Seal of Approval. To learn more about this new eco-label, click here.
Town of Williamston, NC
Located along the Roanoke River halfway between Raleigh-Durham and the Outer Banks, Williamston became the second community to become a Certified Audubon Sustainable Community through the Sustainable Communities Program. For a full list of local governments working through this program, click here.
New York State Government
New York State Parks, Recreation, & Historic Preservation became the first in the nation to register all of its state-run golf courses in the Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary Program for Golf Courses. More recently, the N.Y.S. Department of Environmental Conservation and the New York State Governor’s Green Hospitality Working Group adopted the Audubon Green Leaf Eco-Rating Program for Hotels as the primary third-party program to support state-wide eco-tourism efforts. City of Philadelphia Water Department
The City of Philadelphia Water Department (PWD) and Audubon International are teaming up through seminars and certification program delivery to assist landowners and managers to better manage stormwater runoff as a part of the city's innovative stormwater management credit program and city-wide sustainable community efforts. City of Fort Collins, Colorado

Town of Truckee, California
In an effort to better support and incentive eco-development in the community, the Town of Truckee (CA) is one of over two-dozen communities across the country that have mandated Audubon Signature Program (or equivalent) involvement for certain types of new development. Southern Nevada Water Authority (SNWA)
Audubon International partners with the SNWA, the U.S. EPA, and others to deliver the Watersmart Innovations conference—focused on delivering training and resources to for managing and protecting our nation’s waters. Click here.
U.S. Environmental Protection Agency
Audubon International serves as a Supporter of the Pesticide Environmental Stewardship Program (PESP), a partner of the WaterSense Program, an Ally in the GreenScapes program, and cooperates with EPA Regional staff on projects and research. Learn more about EPA’s PESP program, click here.
Audubon Nature Institute
Audubon International and Audubon Nature Institute worked cooperatively on 80 acres in the historic Garden District of New Orleans to restore habitat and to provide a cohesive educational program aimed at golfers, area residents, and park users. National Fish and Wildlife Foundation
Audubon International serves on the organization's Wildlife Links group, assisting in the review and distribution of grants for research of wildlife on golf courses. For more information, click here.
Trout Unlimited
Trout Unlimited Clearwater Chapter and Audubon International began a collaborative project in 2007 called “Trout in the Classroom”. Grade school students learn hands- on how Brown Trout grow from eggs to release.
United States Golf Association
United States Golf Association - Sponsor of the Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary Program for Golf Courses. The USGA has sponsored the Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary Program for Golf Courses since 1991 and its Green Section serves as resource for Audubon International staff regarding golf course management. Wildlife Conservation Society
The Wildlife Conservation Society and AI have partnered for the last six years on a Loon Conservation Project in the Adirondack Park in NYS. The Loon Conservation Project is a 20 year old program began by Audubon International. To learn more about the Sustainable Communities Summit, click here.
Kansas State University
Kansas State University scientists use Colbert Hills, a Certified Signature Sanctuary project as a living laboratory and classroom for long-term turf research, golf course management, hospitality, and food service operations. Learn more about this eco-development project and others, click here.
University of Florida: Program for Resource Efficient Communities
University of Florida-PREC - Partnered with Audubon International on the 2005 Sustainable Communities Summit, a one-day event at Walt Disney World that attracted 100 municipal leaders, planners, and developers from primarily Florida, who were interested in learning more about sustainable design, construction, and management practices. Cornell University
Audubon International works with the NYS IPM Program, as well as with the Northeastern IPM Center, which is managed as a partnership between the Pennsylvania State University and Cornell University. To learn more about the Northeastern IPM Center, click here.
Conserve School
Conserve School, located in northeastern Wisconsin, is a private, non-sectarian college preparatory boarding school for grades 9-12. With help from the Audubon Signature Program, the school was designed to keep the natural environment as a prominent feature in the lives of the students. To read more about the school, click here.
