Bonterra knows what it takes to find a balance between preserving nature and creating an award-winning product, they have become committed to helping golf courses find their balance between the environment and the game of golf. In 2008 Bonterra partnered with Audubon International to add new golf courses to the Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary Program by covering the $200 first year membership fee for the first 100 courses to sign up through the special promotion. This year, Bonterra is partnering with Audubon International once again in an effort to get 10,000 people to take the Audubon Green Golfer Pledge online. For more information, please click here.

 

CourseVision provides a mapping and database tool to assist property owners in assembling a wide range of information about their property, including environmental information, and communicating that information via maps, links, and other means. Through the partnership with Audubon International, CourseVision has agreed to pay the annual membership fee for any golf course that uses thier services. For more information, please click here.

 

Corporations

AIG Companies
AIG Companies worked with Audubon International to make one property, Spruce Peak at Stowe, Vermont, more sustainable through participation in Audubon International's Sustainable Communities Program.

Crosland, LLC
As a first venture with Audubon International’s Gold Signature Program, Crosland registered a project called Whitewater, a Planned Mixed Use Community attached to the US National Whitewater Training Center near Charlotte, NC.

Marriott Corporation
Besides serving on Audubon International’s Golf Advisory Council, Marriott Golf has committed to have 100% of their golf courses designated as Certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuaries.

The Walt Disney Company
Walt Disney World Resort has demonstrated their commitment to environmental excellence by having all their golf courses designated as a "Certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary" through the Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary Program for Golf Courses.

Crescent Resources
Audubon International first partnered with Crescent Resources on The Sanctuary, a gold signature project in Charlotte, NC and then on the Black Forest project in Marion, NC.  Crescent Resources continues its environmental commitment with two current two properties.

Governments

City of Eufaula, Alabama
After becoming the first Certified Audubon Sustainable Community via the Sustainable Communities Program, Eufaula today advises other program members about their experience planning for sustainability.

City of Coconut Creek, Florida
Known as the “Butterfly Capital of the World,” Coconut Creek became the second community Florida to join the Sustainable Communities Program, serving as a leader for the Fort Lauderdale region.

Sarasota County, Florida
Sarasota County – a progressive, nationwide leader in sustainability for governments – became the first community in Florida, and the first county-level government in the country, to join the Sustainable Communities Program.

New York State Parks, Recreation, & Historic Preservation
New York State became the first in the nation to register all of its state-run golf courses in the Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary Program for Golf Courses.

Town of Williamston, NC
Located along the Roanoke River halfway between Raleigh-Durham and the Outer Banks, Williamston became the first community in North Carolina to join the Sustainable Communities Program, working in partnership with Audubon International and North Carolina State University.

U.S. Environmental Protection Agency
Audubon International serves as a Supporter of the Pesticide Environmental Stewardship Program, a partner of the WaterSense Program, an Ally in the GreenScapes program, and cooperates with the National Environmental Performance Track. Audubon International continues to serve on numerous committees alongside EPA staff, and has received numerous awards from the EPA.

Barona Band of Mission Indians
Through the Audubon Signature Program, Audubon International is helping to ensure that portions of the property at Barona Creek Resort (CA) meet environmental goals in line with the Tribal vision on sustainability.

Non Profit Groups

Audubon Nature Institute
Audubon International and Audubon Nature Institute worked cooperatively on 80 acres in the historic Garden District of New Orleans to restore habitat and to provide a cohesive educational program aimed at golfers, area residents, and park users. 

National Fish and Wildlife Foundation
Audubon International serves on the organization's Wildlife Links group, assisting in the review and distribution of grants for research of wildlife on golf courses.

Trout Unlimited
Trout Unlimited Clearwater Chapter and Audubon International began a collaborative project in 2007 called “Trout in the Classroom”. Grade school students learn hands- on how Brown Trout grow from eggs to release.

United States Golf Association
United States Golf Association - Sponsor of the Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary Program for Golf Courses. The USGA has sponsored the Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary Program for Golf Courses since 1991 and its Green Section serves as resource for Audubon International staff regarding golf course management.

Wildlife Conservation Society
The Wildlife Conservation Society and AI have partnered for the last six years on a Loon Conservation Project in the Adirondack Park in NYS. The Loon Conservation Project is a 20 year old program began by Audubon International.

Universities

Kansas State University
Kansas State University scientists use Colbert Hills, a Certified Signature Sanctuary project as a living laboratory and classroom for long-term turf research, golf course management, hospitality, and food service operations.

North Carolina State University
Audubon International and North Carolina State University held the North Carolina Sustainable Communities Summit and university staff continues to work with communities in Williamston, NC.

University of Alaska at Fairbanks
Audubon International, faculty, and staff work together to develop new ways to deliver sustainability education and research.

University of Florida: Program for Resource Efficient Communities
University of Florida-PREC - Partner on the 2005 Sustainable Communities Summit, a one-day event at Walt Disney World that attracted 100 municipal leaders, planners, and developers from throughout Florida interested in learning about sustainable design, construction, and management practices.

Cornell University
Audubon International works with the NYS IPM Program as well as with the Northeastern IPM Center, which is managed as a partnership between the Pennsylvania State University and Cornell University.
