intended for organizations (businesses, nonprofits, and government
groups) interested in identifying and more effectively managing
environmental risks and opportunities. The session explores a

protect the natural environment, in a manner that is good for the bottom
line.
Developing an
Environmental Plan

environmental management. Through the use of Audubon Cooperative
Sanctuary Program (ACSP) materials, group discussions, activities, and

have the added benefit of completing the first step of the Audubon
Cooperative Sanctuary certification process.

to get started.

to meet both environmental and economic objectives of the project as we
take you on a virtual tour of properties enrolled in the Audubon

multiple benefits of taking a sustainable approach to development.
Understanding the
History of Business Environmentalism in the United States:
Suspicion, Success,
and Sustainability
This informative
talk gives audiences a better understanding of the dance between
businesses, environmental groups, and government agencies that has come
to define the environmental movement in the United States since the
1960s. A particular emphasis is placed on how the environmental
movement has impacted business decision-making--leading companies as
far-reaching as WalMart and Ford Motor Company, and business sectors as
diverse as golf courses and dry cleaners, to publicly address
environmental management and sustainability issues.
